Building atmospheres, Project for the expansion of the Osage Forest of Peace.
The project took place in the Monastery Forest of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The idea was to rebuilt some of the buildings but also to create new functionalities, such as meditation chapels and individual cabins
To understand the Forest of Peace, we must create different spaces and atmospheres. These spaces will define what someone can do and how the atmosphere will influence their behavior.
Upon arrival to the Forest, you will enter the Community Atmosphere to discover the buildings and activities that you will share with others (library, chapel, dining room, wellnes center, comunity center…). Then you get to know your own space the cabin which is integrated into the IntimateAtmosphere. There, no one will bother you. You will just hear the sound of nature. Once you know how these two spaces function, you can explore the Open Atmosphere, where all kinds of activities.
