The islands of Porto, formed in the backyards of apples represent the hidden city, a new world vertebrate by a narrow corridor of access in which it turns all the life in community. Despite being integrated into the urban context of Oporto, they become enclosed spaces that form a cultural and social microcosm of their own, as if it were a protective shell.
It is not about destroying a program in an authoritarian way and creating a solution that has no relation to the historical memory and heritage of the city, but to put into value the positive aspects of these forms of habitat of Porto
